Today is officially the first month of being a missionary! I feel that somehow I have been here since April and also that I was set apart yesterday. Time moves a little differently here. I apologize that these emails are literally bone dry. You know it's getting dull when I'm looking forward to weekly laundry and Spanish conjugation games. My days are made up of Spanish classes straight to Spanish study. I know studying is kind of my thing, but there is a little more dedication, or should I say desperation, when I know in two weeks I'm gonna be thrown in the deep end. I'm actually so excited I hope you know. All jokes aside the people at the MTC are the real best part. Our classes with the district are always hilarious and I got to meet some people from Oregon. Also shoutout to the GOAT MTC tutor Hermano Summers. I got to say hi to him. I'm convinced that there is not a rude person on this campus.
Through these weeks of learning to teach the gospel and having amazing teachers tutor us, it has been wonderful to see a new, or perhaps an old but forgotten, perspective on the gospel. This is a lesson only learned when it is lived. During our time at the MTC we have spent no time on obscure gospel doctrine or apologetic discussion. We have spent one month now learning to live, love, and teach the Doctrine of Christ. The divinity of Jesus Christ, the power of faith, the freeing miracle of repentance, and gift of covenants are the only things one must know to be a disciple of Him. I'm so grateful for the irony that "fullness of truth", may very well be more simple. I invite each of you to read 2 Nephi 31 and consider the simple, yet profound truths. More importantly consider the applications of this doctrine and how it may help you rivet to your Savior
Since my family is the only ones reading these at this point, I hope you know I love you and miss you. I'm so grateful for all of your support. I hope your doing well!
Only two weeks until Spain!!!
