Feliz Navidad 🎄
A very merry Christmas from Spain! I hope everyone is enjoying this special time of year when we can enjoy the company of friends, family, and the greater focus on the birth of our Savior.
Another eventful week here in Spain. I was able to do 2 exchanges and was able to learn a lot from their examples. Much of the training we receive as missionaries simply comes from other missionaries and their experience. For example we receive advice in district councils, zone conferences, and exchanges. The knowledge that you have as a missionary most often just comes with lots of time and experiences.
Lots of ups and downs this week! A few of our friends asked that we stopped teaching them after a month or so of progress which was difficult, but I know we did what we could. We have some new friends so, as always, there's hope on the horizon! We got back in contact with Nehuel, and now his friend is coming to the activities too! We're still working with Viviana, but it has been a bit of a battle. Wish us luck this week that we can help her accept a fetcha. I am really enjoying the work here in Málaga and hope to stay a transfer or two more (even if that means a few more pounds). I finally have gotten a hang of the language and
Sorry for the short email, but I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! I'm genuinely so grateful for all of you that read these letters and offer your support. I don't take for granted the gift of good friends and family.
Here is a scripture I read this week in Genesis I thought I would share with you guys.
"And the angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness"
Here is some more context: Hagar is the maidservant of Saria and sought to do the Lord's will. After doing what she was commanded, she was chastised by her master and fled to the wilderness. It was there, that the angel of the Lord found her, likely crying, maybe thinking about whether it was all "worth it." It was also she learned that Lord had not forgotten her. She was found. She was not left alone. The Lord sought her out, and then blessed her. This Christmas season and always I want to promise it is always "worth it." The Lord will seek you out, strengthen you, and bless you if you follow His commandments.
Merry Christmas,
