"Te promoto amarte todos los días de mi vida" 👫
We started this week by spending all of two days reading the entire Book of Mormon. From about 8:00 in the morning to 10:00 at night we were reading nonstop with occasional zoom call and quality film worthy representations from other missionaries. It was amazing to see all the things I had never noticed before. I noted the complexity of the history, with clear and profound theology layered in, along with sincere thoughts of the authors and their prophecies of our day. I noted the differences in the voices and themes of each author, each focusing on their own task, while centering their message of Jesus Christ. I also noted it is a book of clarity. The Book of Mormon clarifies the Law of Moses, the Atonement, continuing revelation, the nature of God, His Church, His ordinances, and much more. More than anything I noted that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is laid out plainly and frequently, outlining the the steps to return to our Father in Heaven. I'd like to finish by sharing the words of Jesus Christ in the darkness after much destruction upheaval.

13... Will ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be converted, that I may heal you?
14 Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me.
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. It shows time after time His mercy, healing, and purifying power. I invite you to refocus your efforts in reading it. I promise you will find something new about yourself, about God and about that book that seems to never stop teaching me new things.
The second night, after we completed the whole book, we returned to our piso and I began to get ready to go to bed. We had a lot to do in the morning as there was a wedding (Colombian pareja thats gonna get baptized) the next day. We were going to call lots of the members and see if they could come and support the couple being married. But as I was changing I received a call from the missionary leader. She informed me that she had never been so mad at a missionary in all her life (Breaking Records
) and that if I didnt want her help I should get "vete ya" (basically get out). Through a pained struggle to understand angry Peruvian I began to understand what happened. Sunday we had planned the date of the wedding for that Wednesday night. It wouldn't include much decoration, just a few members and some food. The Relief Society President was there and heard about the wedding on Wednesday and during those days that we were reading the Book of Mormon, she had been informing the ward. The only problem is that the mission leader hates the RS President and thought I had commited an act of treachery by unintentionally informing the RS Pres before her. After many apologies, I think she forgave me, but wow! Moral of the story is, let the important women in your life know everything and please don't get in between a rivalry between two ladies from South America! But in all reality please don't hate people in your ward
they're all trying their best and have problems that you don't understand. Also it makes it hard for everyone else.
