Un lugar de milagros
Writing the last letter on Thursday makes it such that I now have nothing to write about, but we did have a good weekend. In church we had 4 friends. Elizabet, from Paraguay, is a friend we found in the street a month ago, but that moved to a city far away. In that city, the missionaries taught her and prepared her for baptism. She recently moved back to Málaga and went to church for the first time yesterday. If all goes well she should be baptized this next Sunday. We also had a friend named Juan Carlos who is a young man from Paraguay. During the second hour, we taught him about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and he accepted the invitation to be baptized in a few weeks! Málaga continues to be a place of miracles and extreme growth!
I would like to share a verse that called my attention from this week. Its found in Ecclesiastes chapter 3. A theme found in Ecclesiastes is that we as humans often have a very small scope of understanding. We focus on the vain, and the passing pleasures, and ignore the eternal.
Verse 11 says:
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
God has put the eternal in our heart. We are Children of a Heavenly Father with both divine beginnings and divine destiny, but many times we focus on the present, struggling to grasp His greater perspective. May we allow God to make all things beautiful in His time. May we focus on that which does not rot or rust and lay up our treasures in heaven.
